
Juhudi N Mbwambo
Executive Director
Mr. Juhudi N. Mbwambo is the Founder and Chief Executive Director of Elimu Community Light. He is holding Advance Diploma in Early Childhood Development (ECD). He started his career as the teacher at Elimu children pre-school, before moving on to do an Early Childhood Education (ECD) career as an ECD specialist at Marifa ni Ufunguo (NGO), then as deputy school manager at Shinda basic school. Driven by a mission to Elimu Community Light’s operations and achievements, he is best known of the organization’s backgrounds and inspirations to its mission for development and thriving of children, youth and women in Tanzania. Juhudi is well known in his expertise in leadership and organizational management; Early Childhood Development (ECD) initiatives; and education sector at large. He has spent the majority of his career in the Non-profit industry since 1998, hence gaining him vast experience, being creative and innovative in solving social challenges of local, national and international levels.

Ansila B. Marandu
MEL Officer
Ansila Marandu has a bachelor of Education Degree and Masters of Arts in Development Management Degree. She started her career as secondary teachers before moving to civil society organizations industry where she worked as a volunteer, researcher and also as an independent consultant. Ansila is holding Monitoring Evaluation and Learning (MEL) position at Elimu Community Light (ECOLI). Before joining ECOLI, Ansila worked for Maarifa ni Ufunguo, an education advocacy NGO which is based in Arusha; Hakikazi Catalyst an organization specialized in policy analysis and advocacy and she worked as a specialist in Programme Development, Learning, and Monitoring & Evaluation. Ansila has background and vast experiences in carrying out researches on various issues concerning education, gender, women economic empowerment and project evaluation. She also has credible experience in facilitation skills, working with diverse groups, report writing, participatory methodologies, as well as advocacy for improving community livelihoods

Francis B. Nathaniel
Program officer
Francis is co-founder of Elimu Community Light (ECOLI). He is holding Master Guide degree offered by SDA worldwide youth program, also he has Diploma certificate in Early Childhood Education. Francis has been working with children and youth programs for over 20 years now. Since he has started to work with ECOLI he has been teaching children, coaching teachers, mobilizing parents and community members to implement ECD, primary education and Most Vulnerable Children (MVC) supporting programs at grassroots level hence enabled thousands of children access early childhood education, primary education and build the foundation of their education journey. Current Francis is the field officer and through his reputable career and experiences of managing children and education programs, Francis leading organization’s projects operation in the community including Innovation for Early Learning project; Improving children Learning Outcomes project; and MVC Educational Supporting Program.

Robert Shirima
Accountant
Robert Shirima has a career in Financial Management. He is a Senior Finance Officer of the organization with qualification of Professional Accountants and Auditor and is registered with the National Board of Accountants and Auditors (NBAA) in the category of ACPA (Associate Certified Public Accountant). Over the past 14 years he continued to expand his knowledge in financial management as a senior Accountant at several institutions that has strengthened his career in the areas of Accounting, Auditing and Taxation in practice. Robert is entrusted finance specialist with capacity, knowledge and reliable expertise to work on accounting and financial management aspects of the organization.

Abella Mutalemwa
Resource Mobilization Advisor
Abella brings a solid background in private and public partnerships, strategic communications, and fundraising. She has worked in the traditional and digital media advertising industry as well as the nonprofit sector for the past 9 years. She is extremely passionate and committed to contributing to the realization of the 2030 agenda for sustainable development – especially in the global south.

Aslam Abdul
ICT Officer
Aslam brings a wealth of ICT expertise to our organization. With a strong background in the digital realm, he is the cornerstone of our digital infrastructure's reliability. His precision in critical thinking, troubleshooting, and optimizing our technological systems ensures uninterrupted operations, driving efficiency and innovation across our organization."

Abella Mutalemwa
Monitoring & Evaluation Officer
Sara, our M&E Officer at Elimu Community Light (ECOLI), leverages two years of experience in annual M&E planning and budget coordination. With a BSc in Biotechnology and Laboratory Science from Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA), Sara excels in monitoring and evaluation, fostering collaboration within the program team. Beyond ECOLI, she's a dedicated community volunteer and an avid reader of research articles on community life.
