The purpose
Before change can scale outward, it has to be rooted in strong systems.
This campaign focused on exactly that: strengthening Elimu from the inside — building the structure, tools, and team needed to sustain bigger impact across all programs.
With support from the Firelight Foundation and Social Action Trust Fund, Elimu worked across wards in Arusha to strengthen school-community collaboration, promote safe learning environments, and elevate the role of caregivers and local leaders.
What we did
Over the course of this campaign, Elimu was able to:
Raise over USD 305,000 to invest in long-term infrastructure
Hire new team members to expand operational capacity
Construct its own offices, providing a permanent base for collaboration and coordination
Equip staff with critical skills in monitoring & evaluation, financial management, project cycle management, and resource mobilization
Strengthen internal policies, systems, and procedures to support better accountability and delivery
